Effective date: May 2, 2026 · Last updated: May 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GamerFrame LLC ("GamerFrame," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit playfinesse.gg or play Finesse (the "Game"). We treat your data with the seriousness a competitive PvP audience expects.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Email address — if you contact us at support@playfinesse.gg or sign up for the closed alpha. We use this only to respond to your inquiry or send alpha-related communication. We do not sell or share email lists.
Account credentials — once Game accounts launch, we will collect a username, hashed password, and a contact email. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt or stronger). We never store passwords in plaintext.
Optional profile data — display name, region preference, social links you choose to add to your profile.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Gameplay telemetry — combat events, match outcomes, ping/latency, frame timing, crash reports. Used to balance the Game, fix bugs, and detect cheating. Aggregated for analytics; not sold to third parties.
Server logs — IP address, timestamps, requested URLs, user-agent strings. Standard web-server logs, retained no longer than 90 days unless required for security investigation.
Cookies — the website uses no third-party tracking cookies. We may set a single first-party session cookie for logged-in features once those exist; that cookie holds only a session token and is deleted on logout.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not run Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or any third-party advertising tracker on this website.
We do not collect biometric data, voice recordings, or screen recordings of you outside the Game's own match-replay system (which records only in-game state, not your microphone or camera).
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 years of age (see Section 7).
2. How We Use Information
Operate, maintain, and improve the Game and the website.
Authenticate accounts and prevent unauthorized access.
Detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, exploits, harassment, and other Terms of Service violations.
Respond to support requests and legal inquiries.
Send service-related communication (account verification, security alerts, alpha access notifications).
Comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing of Information
We share information only as described below. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers. Hosting (DigitalOcean), game server hosts, payment processors (when commerce launches), email-delivery providers. These providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GamerFrame, our players, or the public.
Business transfers. If GamerFrame is acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the successor entity. We will notify you of any such transfer that materially affects your rights.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Account data is retained for the life of the account; you may request deletion at any time (see Section 5). Server logs are deleted within 90 days. Aggregated, de-identified analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate personal information.
Request deletion of your personal information.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Receive a portable copy of your personal information.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, email support@playfinesse.gg. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
5.1 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete that information, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" (we do neither), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
5.2 European Economic Area / UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, our lawful bases for processing are: contract (to provide the Game and services you sign up for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, anti-cheat, product improvement), and consent (for any optional marketing communication). You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, access controls, and routine security audits. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
7. Children's Privacy
The Game is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact support@playfinesse.gg and we will delete it.
8. International Transfers
GamerFrame is based in California, United States. If you access the Game or website from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Game, you consent to such transfer.
9. Payment Processing
If you make a voluntary contribution to support the development of the Game, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"), our third-party payment processor. We do not store, process, or have direct access to your full payment card details.
Provided directly to Stripe by you: payment card details, billing information (if requested), and any data needed to complete the transaction. This data is collected and processed by Stripe; we never see it.
Received by us from Stripe: your name (as provided at checkout), email address, contribution amount, transaction ID, date of payment, the country associated with the payment method, and a partial card descriptor (such as the last 4 digits and card brand).
Not received by us: your full card number, CVV/CVC, or full expiration date.
We use this information solely to (a) confirm and reconcile transactions, (b) issue receipts, (c) respond to support inquiries, (d) maintain accounting records as required by law, and (e) handle refunds, chargebacks, or disputes.
Stripe's collection and processing of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. By initiating a contribution, you consent to Stripe's collection and processing of your data per their terms.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, by direct notice to active accounts. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
